Director-General of the National Steel Raw Materials Exploration Agency, Engr. (Dr) Umar Albarka Hassan has embarked on an inspection of exploration works being carried out by the agency in parts of the country. The DG also seized the opportunity to interact with members of the host communities in the areas.
At the Enale area of Kogi state, Engr. Hassan had a friendly discussion with the Enale-Ankpa people and thanked them for the peaceful reception and support accorded the exploration team thus far. He also made good on the agency’s promise to assist the community in some way.
The DG was also at Gidan Buzu in Yobe state, where he commended the team for a good job done thus far, while urging them to sustain the professionalism and excellence which the agency is known for.
The inspection is part of efforts to ensure that the teams abide by the terms of specifications of the projects concerned. This is in addition to engaging consultants like renowned geologist, Prof. Umar Danbatta who was greatly involved in mapping out the Libale-Nasko Iron Ore Resource in Niger state.
